Bruichladdich was established in 1881 and has changed hands many times over the years. Owned by French spirit group Remy Martin Bruichladdich distill, mature and bottle their whisky on site as well as using barley from the surrounding farms. Since their renaissance in 2001 their range of whiskies are bottled without added colour or chill filtration and at 46%ABV and above. They are pioneers of cask management, peating levels and presentation.
Bottled to celebrate the 125th Anniversary.
This 1970 vintage was matured for 35 years in bourbon casks, then ACE'd (additional cask evolution!) in Zind Humbrecht's fabled "Selection Grains Noble" Pinot Gris casks.
