The oldest distillery on Islay, Bowmore has been described as the Grande Dame of the island. It still has it's own floor maltings which make up about 30% of their requirements. Their No. 1 vaults are the oldest maturation warehouse in Scotland and the only one below sea level.
Malts of Scotland won the prestigious Whisky Magazine's Icons of Whisky Independent Bottler of the Year in both 2013 and 2014. Thomas Ewers personally selects each cask, which are bottled at cask strength, non chill filtered and without colour, to offer Scotland's greatest treasures.
