Lot number: 064-1060
Winning bid: £35
The history of Glen Scotia is one of fits and starts and many different owners over the years. Founded in 1823 and one of the last remaining distilleries from Campbeltown's glory years as the, "Whisky Capital of the World", the distillery is still using fermenters, the stillroom and the dunnage warehouse dating from the 1830s. They also take probably the smallest cut of all distilleries in Scotland, collecting the spirit from just 71%-68%.
