Sold in America during prohibition for medical purposes, due to the Surgeon General refusing to believe it could be drunk for pleasure, Laphroaig has been awarded a Royal Warrant by Prince Charles in 1994. The biggest selling single malt from Islay, Laphroaig is one of the last distilleries using its own floor maltings.
This Laphroaig was selected from only 5 of the finest Oloroso sherry casks by Master Blender Robert Hicks and Distillery Manager John Campbell this is the rarest style of Laphroaig.
