Glen Garioch is the most easterly distillery in Scotland and despite being one of the oldest it has never been afraid of innovation. They have used the heat of distillation to grow tomatoes, and rumour has it kiwi fruit (!), and were the first distillery to use North Sea gas. They were also among the first to release a Virgin Oak whisky as well as bottling their core range at 48% ABV with no chill filtration.
