Although a relative youngster - the distillery started production on the 17th of August 1995 - this distillery has quickly won an army of fans that have been drawn to the quality of the whisky produced in the shadow of the nesting site of a pair of golden eagles.
This first-fill Bourbon Barrel, distilled in October 1995 - the first year of production - has slumbered at the distillery for 16 years and infused The Arran Malt with delicious notes of honey, vanilla and rich orchard fruits.
Congratulation to the team of whisky aficionados for their excellent choice and the perfect dram to toast the 2012 Distillery Festival.
