Lot number: 064-3771

Winning bid: £150

Masataka Taketsuru is known as grand father of the Japanese whisky industry. As a young man he travelled to Scotland to study Organic Chemistry at University of Glasgow during the summer of 1919. Later started working in Hazelburn before it was absorbed by Springbank.

Tsuru means crane in Japanese and surprisingly the decanter have been decorated with cranes. As we all know Nikka is discontinuing a lot of their older releases and age statements this one is included in this. This crane is going to be missed.

Age: 17 years old

43% ABV / 70cl

Please note wear and tear to box.

Please examine the images of the bottle, any packaging and labels carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid.
