The most northerly of Scottish whisky distilleries, Highland Park was founded in 1798 and is one of the most highly regarded single malts in the world, the great Michael Jackson calling it, "The greatest all-rounder in the world of whisky." and Paul Pacult awarded it, "The Best Spirit in the World." in 2005. The unique peat of Orkney gives the whisky a distinctive heathery sweetness.
Those wacky guys at www.caskstrength.net. were charged with supplying booze for a rock concert at Hyde Park. One of the bands was Arcade Fire. Casktrength came up with the idea of getting a special Highland Park Orcadian Fire made up. HP were up for it and 75 bottles were supplied. Arcade Fire even redesigned the HP 18 label.
