The Pulteney distillery was founded in 1826 and has changed hands many times over the years and is currently the second best seller in the Inver House Stable. Located in Wick, and now the second most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland, the distillery has won many accolades over the years, including two different variations of Whisky Of The Year from Jim Murray and the World Whisky Awards.
This is the third and final expression of single malts related to extraordinary boats from Wick. The inspiration for this one came from WK217 'Spectrum', built in 1920 and one of the first Wick drifters to use a pioneering way of fishing called Anchor Seine Netting. She was also used during World War II for harbour service duties.
