In 1826 the exuberant and extroverted JamesAllardice founded the distillery and produced his 'Guid GlenDronach' single malt. There was a period where the distillery was mothballed between 1996 and 2002. However in 2008, nothing less than a complete renaissance began. The BenRiach Distillery Company becameGlenDronach's proud new owner.
This is batch number 1 of GlenDronach's cask strength release. A glorious colour, this whisky has been aged in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro ximenez sherry casks.
