The oldest distillery on Islay, Bowmore has been described as the Grande Dame of the island. It still has its own floor maltings which make up about 30% of its requirements. Its No. 1 vaults are the oldest maturation warehouse in Scotland and the only one below sea level.
Released in 2009, this version was distilled in 1988 and has been full-term matured in Port Wood casks, giving it a very alluring ruby glow. Boxed.
