Founded in 1897 the Coleburn distillery has always produced whisky for blending and never had a focus on the spirit as a single malt. Mothballed in 1985 there were plans to create a 'Whisky Hotel' but plans seem to have stalled as currently the warehouses are being used by Aceo and their independent bottler Murray McDavid to store their whisky was well as that of their clients.
