Lot number: 068-0374

Winning bid: £85

One of the world's best selling old single malts, Glemorangie's spirit flows from Scotland's tallest stills, over 16 feet tall for those that are counting. Over the years Bill Lumsden has been at the forefront of research into the influence of the cask on whisky and as such Glenmorangie is the leading exponents of whisky 'finishes', be that sherry, wine or virgin oak. The distillery selects its wood from the Mark Twain forest in the Ozark mountains and ensures that the wood is air dried rather than kilned.

This is a commemorative bottling to mark the opening of The Dornoch Firth Bridge, on 27th August 1991.

Built by Christiani Morrison, a joint adventure between Christiani and Nielson Ltd and the Morrison Construction Group.

At the time of construction, The Dornoch Bridge was the longest bridge of its type in the UK at 890 metres.

Comes with two branded tasting glasses.

Age: 10 years old
