The Rare Malts are a series of Diageo cask-strength releases, designed to show off some of the lesser known whiskies in its empire. Now discontinued they are much sought after by collectors. All bottlings are cask strength, and un-chill filtered.

Situated in an industrial estate, the Teaninich distillery produces 9.8million litres of spirit a year and is a vital component of several Johnnie Walker blends.

The first distillery north of Inverness to have electric light, Teaninich was also the first malt whisky distillery in Scotland to install a mash filter press instead of a mash tun.
