This whisky has been bottled by the oldest independent bottler in Scotland, which has long championed the absence of colouring and chill filtering. The dumpy range of bottlings in its distinctive black labels is particularly sought after.
Clynelish is the signature malt of Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve and also an important component of many of Diageo's blends. The original distillery was founded in 1819 and in 1967 the distillery currently operating as Clynelish was built The distillery that previously held the name was reopened in 1968 as Brora.
