Big Peat 2016 Christmas Limited Edition 1 of 1 Charity Lot Signed by Fred Laing

Unique is an overused word, but it's true for this lot. It is bottle 1 of 1 in a special silvered bottle, presented by Douglas Laing & Co and signed by Fred Laing.

The bottle was won by Mark Connelly, of Swally Shirts and Glasgow's Whisky Festival fame who has asked us to auction it to raise money for the ME Association.

Mark says: "I recently won this 'one of one' bottle of whisky on the excellent Greatdrams blog and decided to put it up for auction to raise money for the wonderful ME Association.

"The whisky is a special Christmas edition of Douglas Laing & Co.'s Big Peat and this unique bottle has been given a silver coating for some extra festive bling. There is only one of this particular silver bottle in the world!

"M.E. is a debilitating condition which can leave sufferers in constant pain and feeling exhausted and unable to work or even get out of bed some days. The ME Association provides a 365-days-a-year helpline for sufferers to contact so they can get advice and hear a friendly voice who understands what they are going through.

"Please spread the word so we can raise as much money as possible for this charity who do such important work for people with this terrible condition.
