Situated in an industrial estate, the Teaninich distillery produces 9.8million litres of spirit a year and is a vital component of several Johnnie Walker blends. The first distillery north of Inverness to have electric light, Teaninich was also the first malt whisky distillery in Scotland to install a mash filter press instead of a mash tun.
This whisky has been bottled by the oldest independent bottler in Scotland, which has long championed the absence of colouring and chill filtering.
