From Douglas Laing's / Hunter Laing's Old Malt Cask range. This range is bottled at a preferred strength of 50%, known as "golden strength", as it is believed this strength allows the drinker to experience the malt in its full and redolent glory.
St Magdalene was the last of five distilleries to close in Linlithgow in 1983 and it has now been turned into flats (apartments) which can still be recognised by the pagoda vents that are a prominent feature of the buildings.
