Hello and welcome to our magnificent 70th Auction!
What better way to shake off the January blues, than to immerse yourself in the bevy of boozy beauties we have for you this month.
Let's kick things off in style with this astounding 1939 Fine & Rare bottling. Distilled around the outbreak of World War II, and aged for a whopping 40 years, this peated Macallan is a must have for collectors. And if one Macallan from the 1930s isn't enough for you, then why not check out this rather epic offering from Gordon & MacPhail?
There are some real superstars from Islay too, like this Black Bowmore, or this wonderful 1957 vintage 38 Year Old. Not to mention some of the independent bottles such as this mighty sherry bomb from Signatory. And of course there's a good showing from other Islay giants. Just feast your eyes on these delectable 40 Year Olds from Bunnahabhain and Laphroaig.
Japan is well represented this month, with heavyweights like this 35 Year Old Hibiki Kutani Decanter, Nonjatta Ghost 2nd Edition (bottle number 22 of 22!), and this rare Karuizawa Rouge Cask all vying for your attention. And from America, we're excited to have in a pre-prohibition era Bourbon from 1914, not to mention a bottle of Glendronach Scotch signed by Commander in Chief, Donald J. Trump.
If blended whisky is more your thing, then have a look at some of the fantastic Johnnie Walkers in the auction this month, like this 200th Anniversary Blue Label, or this 30 Year Old Master Blender Edition. We also have some stunners like this 1949 Black & White, or this 1950 White Horse.
As usual, the sheer girth of this auction makes it nearly impossible to convey just how many stellar bottles we have, so we'll leave you to get stuck in.
Good luck from everyone here at SWA HQ. And remember, don't lose your bottle!
