Winning bid: £130

Bruichladdich was established in 1881 and has changed hands many times over the years. Owned by French spirit group Remy Martin Bruichladdich distills, maturse and bottles its whisky on site as well as using barley from the surrounding farms. Since its renaissance in 2001 its range of whiskies are bottled without added colour or chill filtration and at 46% ABV and above. It is a pioneer of cask management, peating levels and presentation.

This bottling of Bruichladdich was specially selected by Master Distiller Jim McEwan from the private collection of Tim Greaves (head of Greaves Motorsport) to celebrate the distillery sponsored team's 6th successive appearance at the 24 hour endurance race at Le Mans.
