Bruichladdich was established in 1881 and has changed hands many times over the years. Owned by French spirit group Remy Martin Bruichladdich distill, mature and bottle their whisky on site as well as using barley from the surrounding farms.

Since their renaissance in 2001 their range of whiskies are bottled without added colour or chill filtration and at 46% ABV and above. They are pioneers of cask management, peating levels and presentation.

The fourth release of the legendary Bruichladdich Black Art whisky. Former Master Distiller Jim McEwan has kept the composition of this whisky a secret. We've heard that it's a mixture of American and French oak.

Bruichladdich instead prefer to leave us hanging with a quote from Shakespeare, from that famous Scottish play:

“Stars, hide your fires; let not light see my black and deep desires."

Distilled: 1990

Age: 23 years old

49.2% ABV / 70cl
