The first official bottling from this distillery was in 1990, only three years before the first official bottling of anCnoc. The name change was by recent purchasers Inverhouse who were worried about confusion with another distillery (Knockando).
This whisky is named after the 'rascan' a tool used for breaking up the top level of rough ground and prepare the land for harvesting.
Peated to a level of 11.1ppm
