The Bordeaux wine region in France is home to some of the most famous appellations in the country - St Emilion, Pauillac, Pomerol and Sauternes to name a few. Within these geographical designations lie some of the most famous and revered wineries in the world.
A neighbour of Pauillac, Saint Julien is on of the left bank's smaller AOC appelations. The Ducru-Beaucaillou estate dates back to the 13th century and is one of the oldest in the Medoc.
