Lot number: 073-2465

Winning bid: £65

Bruichladdich was established in 1881 and has changed hands many times over the years. Owned by French spirit group Remy Martin Bruichladdich distill, mature and bottle their whisky on site as well as using barley from the surrounding farms.

Since their renaissance in 2001 their range of whiskies are bottled without added colour or chill filtration and at 46% ABV and above. They are pioneers of cask management, peating levels and presentation.

Ancien Regime and Renaissance were the first and second in a brace of bottlings to mark the acquisition and re-birth of Bruichladdich Distillery.

The Renaissance, 11.09.01, is aged 9 years in bourbon and is among the very first spirit to run from the newly-acquired stills.

This is the second bottle for the Feis Ile 2011
