Lot number: 073-4688

Winning bid: £30

The Wemyss family's connections with the industry date back to the turn of the 19th century when John Haig (founder of Haig's) built his first distillery on Wemyss land. Their range was conceived with the aim of making them more accessible and understandable. They use the taste and aromas of the individual whiskies to identify each bottling, rather than the distillery, so the consumer can more easily understand the style being purchased.

Taken from Wemyss malts' website: "Over ten different single malt whiskies are expertly blended together before introducing the “signature” malts to create three distinct taste profiles; 'Spicy', 'Peaty' and 'Honeyed'.

For Spice King, the signature malt we use is from the Highlands and Islands, to produce a whisky with rich, full and spicy top notes.

Bottled at 46% alcohol strength, non-chill filtered, the no age statement whiskies are robust and full of flavour like their aged counterparts yet offer a different take on the taste profiles. "

46% ABV / 70cl
