Suntory Special Reserve:

One of the Japanese whisky giants. Kotobukiya, or as we know them today. Suntory. The company was founded by Shinjiro Torii in 1899, first as an importer of western liquor. As he progressed within the business he decided to build Japan's first distillery. This is where Masataka Taketsuru comes into the picture. He was hired as a distillery executive at Yamazaki.

A blend of select, fully mature malt and grain whiskies.

Aged: 10 years old

43% ABV / 38cl

Macallan 12 Year Old:

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow 'cut' of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records at auctions all round the world.

No longer available in the UK, except at auction houses, obviously! This 12 year old was a late addition to the Macallan family before the age statement range was discontinued in 2013.

Age: 12 years old

40% ABV / 35cl

Bowmore 12 Year Old:

The oldest distillery on Islay, Bowmore has been described as the Grande Dame of the island. It still has its own floor maltings which make up about 30% of its requirements. Its No. 1 vaults are the oldest maturation warehouse in Scotland and the only one below sea level.
