William Grant founded Balvenie distillery in 1892 using the 18th century mansion known as Balvenie New House. It is built just below Glenfiddich sharing it's Robbie Dhu springs water source. The distillery still uses it's own floor maltings and locally sourced peat. An
older bottling of Balvenie, from the late 1980s in the classic flat bottle shape. Not often seen these days, even at auction!
