In 1826 the exuberant and extroverted James Allardice founded the distillery and produced his 'Guid GlenDronach' single malt. There was a period where the distillery was mothballed between 1996 and 2002. However in 2008, nothing less than a complete renaissance began. The BenRiach Distillery Company became GlenDronach's proud new owner.
This is a relatively small release of 6,000 bottles which have been matured in European oak and then finished in virgin oak casks to create a really nutty GlenDronach!
