The most northerly of Scottish whisky distilleries, Highland Park was founded in 1798 and is one of the most highly regarded single malts in the world, the great Michael Jackson calling it, "The greatest all-rounder in the world of whisky." and Paul Pacult awarded it, "The Best Spirit in the World." in 2005. The unique peat of Orkney gives the whisky a distinctive heathery sweetness.
A special edition limited release of 5400 bottles for the UK. market only, Back label bears the legend “the greatest all-rounder in the world of malt whisky” by Michael Jackson.
Created to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Orkney's world-famous Italian Chapel. This whisky features an illustration of the Chapel painted by the man at the forefront of its creation – Domenico Chiochetti.
The family of Domenico, who died a few years ago aged 89, is delighted to have the painting by their father feature on Highland Park Capella and commented that they are ‘very grateful to the people of Orkney for keeping their father's memory alive’.
