Dalmore distillery was used as a deep-sea mine production center by the Royal Navy between 1917 and 1920. After the navy left the distillery was left in tatters, and after a long compensation battle, involving the House of Lords, the distillery was brought back online. Now Dalmore, under the stewardship of Richard Paterson, presents itself as a luxury brand, with some of their bottlings among the most expensive in the world.
Launched in autumn of 2011 The Dalmore Distillery Exclusive celebrates the artisanship of the 13 craftsmen and women who hold the secrets to distilling the malt.
Chosen by the artisans themselves, only 450 bottles of this expression were produced, and only available for sale in the Distillery Shop.
