Compass Box are the brilliant blending company that has brought us both ''Spice Tree'' and ''Peat Monster''. Known for its shenanigans and highly experimental whisky projects.
The Numinous Cask was created by John Glaser for La Maison Du whisky. It is a vatting comprised of three of Compass Box's favourite malt whiskies, each of which have been aged in American White Oak casks for ten years, before being married for a further five years in "bespoke hybrid casks" made of American and toasted sessile oak from the Vosges forest.
