Compass Box Eleuthera Single Marrying Cask
Lot number: 079-1639
Winning bid: £580
Compass Box are the brilliant blending company that has brought us both ''Spice Tree'' and ''Peat Monster''. Known for its shenanigans and highly experimental whisky projects.
This was called a, "Vatted Malt" before the Scotch Whisky Association changed the nomenclature in 2009. It contains a 15 year-old malt whisky from the village of Brora, aged in re-charred hogsheads, with 12 year-old malt from the village of Port Askaig.
This special edition, bottled for the 50th anniversary of La Maison Du Whisky, has been bottled at a higher "marrying" strength than the standard release, and drawn from just a single marrying cask.
49.2% ABV / 70cl
