We've been simply flabbergasted by the frenzy of fantastic bottles that have flown in for this month's mammoth auction. With over 6000 (!) bottles to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice.

First up, we're very excited to offer you the chance to bid for a bottle we've never before had in the auction; the legendary Bowmore Gold 1964. And as if that piece of Islay whisky royalty wasn't enough, there's also this Bowmore 1973 43 Year Old.

There's also a treat for Bruichladdich collectors. This Micro Provenance that has been bottled for Scandinavian booze cruisers, Viking Line, and matured in a Haut Brion wine barrique, is one of only six bottles in world.

We are lucky enough to have a substantial number of old and rare whiskies gracing our galleries most months here at SWA, but it's not that often we see many that break the 60 year old barrier. This Glen Grant comes from Gordon & MacPhail (masters of the mature malt), in association with Wealth Solutions, and is a whopping 66 years old. Also from Wealth Solutions, is this fantastically well reviewed Clynelish 41 Year Old, with Serge of WhiskyFun.com calling it " a-m-a-z-i-n-g". We don't doubt it Serge.

There are, as usual, no shortage of lost distillery bottlings (or are there? Should we still include Brora, Port Ellen and Rosebank amongst them? Lets say "yes" for now.), but one that's maybe a little bit more under the radar, but by no means less exciting, is this 1967 vintage Killyloch. Distilled at the Moffat grain distillery near Airdrie, this is the lightly peated sister malt to Glen Flagler.

The size of this auction is just so staggering that we can barely wrap our heads around all the wonderful whiskies on offer, but we're sure you'll all have fun discovering them.

Happy bidding, and remember, don't lose your bottle.
