This ongoing series from Bruichladdich is the most heavily peated whisky in the world. Named after James Brown's farm that is situated above Port Charlotte, this Brobdingnagian whisky deftly lives up to its description as, "The iron fist in the velvet glove".
In 2012 Octomore tuned 10 years old and this release has a peating level of 80.5ppm. This second edition has been beefed up to a mighty 167ppm.
It has been described as a whisky for the connoisseur and the enlightened student of peat.
