Tomatin distillery was founded in 1897 and spent most of it's life producing whisky for the blending industry. In the 1970s it was Scotland's biggest producer of single malt whisky. In 1986 Tomatin distillery became the first fully Japanese owned Scottish distillery when Takara Shuzo joined forces with trading company Okura.
A specially crafted whisky, conceived by master distiller Douglas Campbell to mark his 50th year at Tomatin. He has taken 5 casks, one from each decade of his tenure, and married them together to create something truly exceptional.
