Amrut Single Malt Whisky from India was launched officially in Glasgow in 2004. Since then its reputation has grown, with its range of innovative whiskies using Indian barley from the Punjab distilled in the tropical garden city of Bangalore at 3000ft.

For the Spectrum, the aged the spirit for three years in Bourbon casks before having it transferred into custom-built chimeric casks (made with five different stave types) for a further three and a half years. Oloroso Sherry Wood, New French Oak, New American Oak, New Spanish Oak and Pedro Ximenez Sherry staves all play a part in the maturation of this fascinating whisky.
