Michter's Whiskey Company has had a tumultuous history, changing hands numerous times, and declaring bankruptcy before being reborn in the 1990s. One of the oldest Whiskey companies in the United States, It was founded in Pennsylvania in 1753 by John Shenk, after whom the brand was originally named.

During the American Revolutionary war George Washington reputedly visited the distillery and purchased supplies of it's whiskey to fortify his troops during the harsh Pennsylvania winter. Leading to it being known as "the whiskey that warmed the American Revolution".

Now thriving in the heartland of American whiskey, Louisville Kentucky, the Michter's brand enjoys numerous accolades for its current range of Bourbons, Ryes and Sour Mash whiskies.

This Celebration has been blended by master distiller, Willie Pratt and consists of his favourite casks, one of the heavy hitters being a 30 year old sour mash whisky! The 18 Karat gold screen printed bottling is one of only 256 bottles to have been released.
