Released to celebrate the 80th birthday of Nikka this malt heavy blend, 70% malt to 30% grain, contains some of the oldest stocks available in Nikka's inventory.
The oldest Yoichi and Miyagikyo whiskies in this blend were distilled in the days of Masataka Taketsuru and in a lovely touch the bottle stoppers are made from the casks that went into this spectacular blend.
The bottles design was inspired layers of 'Kimono' and the Nikka emblem was hand-craved by 'Edobori' craftsman marrying traditional carving methods and modern sandblasting techniques.
There were only 200 bottles released in Europe.
