One of the few distilleries still using worm tubs, Speyburn was pretty much unchanged since its creation in 1897 this was until a major expansion that began in 2014. Now capable of producing over 4 million litres of spirit a year it is one of the top ten single malts in the USA and it is also the biggest selling malt in the Inver House stable.
This Speyburn is from Douglas Laing's Provenance range. The range is all small batch bottlings and generally at a healthy 46% ABV. As usual with Douglas Laing's whiskies, they are un-chill filtered.
