Originally a joint venture between whisky giants Seagram, Chivas and Kirin, full control was assumed by Kirin in 2002. Focusing on blends for the domestic market there are few single malt or single grain releases. The distillery is equipped with a varied range equipment, pot stills sit along side kettles and column and as Kirin owns Four Roses bourbon casks dominate the maturation process. These releases have a representation image of Mount Fuji etched into the glass design.
