Lot number: 089-4172

Winning bid: £1,200

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow 'cut' of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records at auctions all around the world.

Available only from the distillery and with a beautifully illustrated hardback book.

The book contains a USB stick continuing the advertising archive.

Folio 2 suggests there could be more to come...

43% ABV / 70cl

Please note there is an issue with the Folio 2 packaging, where the retaining clips that hold the book in place have a tendency to break in transit. This is because they are made of fragile plastic, as opposed to the metal ones used on the Folio 1. Scotch Whisky Auctions cannot guarantee that these will arrive intact if shipped.

Please examine all images of the lot, any packaging and labels carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid.
