Glenfiddich was founded in Dufftown by William Grant, who had honed his craft at Mortlach distillery; and on Christmas Day 1887 the first spirit ran from the stills. Thanks to Grant's tenacity and stubborn self belief, the distillery flourished during a period of turbulence in the industry and has grown to become one of the best selling brands of single malt whisky in the world, only occasionally trading the number one spot with fellow Speyside behemoth, Glenlivet.

Still owned by the Grant family today, the pioneering distillery is responsible for a lot of "firsts" in the whisky world. Perhaps most importantly, they were the first to really promote the idea of drinking whisky as a single malt as opposed to in blends. They were also the first distillery to open their doors to the public, sparking a trend that has undoubtedly benefited the Scottish tourist industry greatly.

Boasting a solid core range of expressions that are easily accessible to whisky newcomers, yet have layers of complexity that appeal to seasoned connoisseurs alike. There's a reason Glenfiddich is numero uno!

This bottle was released to celebrate Glenfiddich's 130th year of whisky making.
