Glengoyne
Sitting on the Highland/Lowland border, Glengoyne distills its whisky in the Highlands and matures it in the Lowlands. Founded in 1833, under the name Burnfoot, the distillery is now owned by Ian MacLeod distillers which champions its slow distillation process and a complete lack of peat, as well as a rigorous approach to its sherry cask selection. It selects its own trees in Spain and allows the wood to air dry for two years before it is used for a further two years to age Oloroso sherry.
This 14 year old used to be exclusively sold in Marks & Spencer before Glengoyne changed its bottlings.

Ardmore
Built to provide whisky for the Teacher's blend in 1898, this Highlander's main production is a peated whisky, but there is also a non-peated version called Ardlair (Ardless is its nickname) which accounts for around 40% of its output.
Ardmore Legacy was introduced in 2014 as a replacement for Traditional. A mix of 80% peated and 20% unpeated malt, this is full-bodied, dry and spicy.
