Situated in an industrial estate, the Teaninich distillery produces 9.8 million litres of spirit a year and is a vital component of several Johnnie Walker blends. The first distillery north of Inverness to have electric lighting, Teaninich was also the first malt whisky distillery in Scotland to install a mash filter press instead of a mash tun.
The one official core bottling of Teaninich single malt is a 10 Year Old in the Flora & Fauna series; however in 2017 a limited 17 Year Old Special Release was launched.
Part of a highly sought after range of bottlings that were not sold to the general public. Selected by Malt Distillery Managers within UDV (and latterly Diageo Distilling Ltd ) and bottled at natural strength.
