Pride of Strathspey 1946 James Gordon & Co 75cl
Lot number: 090-6241
Winning bid: £950
Pride Of Strathspey was one of the brands under which Gordon & Macphail released their stocks of Macallan during the 'disputed' years.
Between the 1950s and 1980s G&M were the official bottlers for Macallan. However this licence was withdrawn for a period of around 15 years and they were forbidden to use the distillery name on any bottlings.
So G&M created a range of bottlings that allowed them to continue releasing Macallan but under a different guise. One of these such bottlings is the Pride of Strathspey range.
Distilled: 1946
70° Proof / 75cl
