The Tun series was conceived by Malt Master David Stewart, who was so inspired by the magical atmosphere inside Warehouse 24, that he wanted to capture the essence of it in a bottle. This was achieved by marrying selected casks from the warehouse in a large wooden vat (or "Tun"), for a period of three months, and each batch has its own unique characteristics depending on the cask selection used.
Batch #1
The first batch - this lot - was made for distillery visitors only, and was created from 6 casks – a 1973 Sherry Butt, a 1972 Sherry Hogshead and American casks from 1966, 1974, 1978 and 1988.

A vatting of seven Bourbon and three Sherry casks with vintages ranging from 1967 to 1989.

Released only in the US and is made up of 10 casks, mostly from the 1970s, with one from the 1960s and one from the 1980s.

A vatting of five American Hogsheads and four Sherry Butts, the oldest of which is a 1966 vintage distillation. The youngest whisky in this batch is 21 years old.

Nine American Oak casks and three European Oak Sherry casks were used to create Batch #8, which was destined for the UK, Canada and Australia.
