Sold in America during prohibition for medical purposes, due to the Surgeon General refusing to believe it could be drunk for pleasure, Laphroaig has been awarded a Royal Warrant by Prince Charles in 1994. The biggest selling single malt from Islay, Laphroaig is one of the last distilleries using its own floor maltings.
This is an incredible rare and highly sought after Laphroaig from the 1970's. This one has an highly enviable reputation and is held in high regard by Serge Valentin and anyone else who has been lucky enough to try this wonderful dram!
