In the early year of 1806 James Gosling decided to set up a shop in America so sails out with goods worth up to £10,000. But after 91 days he was forced to dock in the nearest harbour. Bermuda. here he ended up setting up a shop. Sourcing and ageing his own rum. Soon many were asking for the rum with a black seal. So came the name to be.
