Lot number: 096-03641

Winning bid: £150

Formed after Fred and Stewart Laing parted ways in 2013, Hunter Laing is under ownership of the latter and his two sons. The company took over Edition Spirits and began releasing their First Editions series. Since the demerger, Hunter Laing claimed the following ranges: Old Malt Cask; Old and Rare Selection; and the Sovereign.

As a company with a rich history in producing luxury blends, Hunter Laing recognised single grain whiskies as having a quality of their own. Recently older grain whiskies have become noticed for their excellent value and high quality with their popularity amongst connoisseurs growing. With this is mind, Hunter Laing offer this Sovereign range of single grain whiskies aged between 25 and 50 years, bottled at cask strength and without chill filtration or artificial colouring.
