Lot number: 101-02008

Winning bid: £100

Dalmore distillery was used as a deep-sea mine production centre by the Royal Navy between 1917 and 1920. After the navy departed, the distillery was left in tatters, and - after a long compensation battle involving the House of Lords - the distillery was brought back online in 1922. Now Dalmore, under the stewardship of Richard Paterson, presents itself as a luxury brand with a history of wealthy backers, with some of its bottlings among the most expensive in the world.

The Dalmore Constellation Collection consists of 21 whiskies bottled at cask strength and natural colour which have been aged in some of the world's finest casks. Launched on the 1st of May 2012 in the royal suite in London's Heathrow Airport, it offers a spectacular view of one of the world's greatest distilleries. Presented in hand-blown crystal decanters and adorned with Sterling silver befitting such rare and wonderful spirit.
